Established in 1990, Ashurst Perkins Coie’s Tokyo office has grown steadily into a well-established practice, operating as a joint enterprise under Japanese law. The team comprises Japanese-qualified lawyers (bengoshi) and registered foreign lawyers (gaikokuho jimu bengoshi), working closely together.
We act for a broad range of leading Japanese and international corporates, financial institutions, multilateral organisations, and government and semi-government entities.
Through our integrated team, we provide coordinated, cross-border support, with extensive experience advising on both inbound and outbound investments. We are particularly focused on helping clients navigate complex, multi-jurisdictional transactions and regulatory frameworks, drawing on the firm’s broader global platform.
