Ashurst Perkins Coie advises HIH Invest on acquisition of logistics development in Bremen
Ashurst Perkins Coie has advised HIH Invest Real Estate on the acquisition of a logistics development in Bremen’s freight village. The acquisition was made by a joint venture between Urban Partners and HIH Invest Real Estate.
The approximately 90,000-square-metre site on Senator-Blase-Straße was sold by WFB Wirtschaftsförderung Bremen GmbH on behalf of the Free Hanseatic City of Bremen. A logistics property with a gross floor area of approximately 36,650 square metres is to be developed on the site. Construction is scheduled to commence in the fourth quarter of 2026, with completion planned for the fourth quarter of 2027.
The property is already fully let on a long-term basis to Nagel-Group, which will use the site as a temperature-controlled logistics hub for fresh food logistics in the greater Bremen area.
This marks the sixth logistics transaction for the joint venture between Urban Partners and HIH Invest Real Estate.
The Ashurst Perkins Coie team was led by Liane Muschter and included Christopher Jeschor, Achim Weimer, Calvin Bischoff-Asibey and Ibrahim Ünal in Real Estate. Further advice was provided by Sascha Arnold in Projects, Energy, Environment & Resources; Filip Kurkowski and Nils Boie-Wegener in Finance, Funds & Restructuring; Miriam Staatz in Tax; and Christoph Bieramperl, Transaction Manager in Corporate.
