Ashurst Perkins Coie advises Aboria Capital on circa £165m acquisition of five-asset UK student accommodation portfolio
Global law firm Ashurst Perkins Coie has advised Aboria Capital on the completion of a circa £165 million acquisition of a five-asset, 1,570-bed student accommodation portfolio from HSBC Asset Management.
The acquisition was made by a joint venture between Aboria Capital and Partners Group and marks Aboria's first acquisition since the platform was launched.
The portfolio comprises assets in Liverpool, Newcastle, Cambridge and Acton making the portfolio largely concentrated across Russell Group institutions.
The Ashurst Perkins Coie team was led by Real Estate Division Chair, Sarah Sivyour; global loans partner Stuart Blacklock; and funds partner Oliver Cary, alongside senior associates Dan Fielding, Liam Closey and Fiona Prendergast supported by a multi-disciplinary team across the firm's real estate, finance, tax, funds and employment practices.
