Paul supports clients in the energy and resources sector especially those involved in the electricity, gas renewables and energy storage industries.

Since the 1990's, Paul has focused on servicing clients in the energy and resources sector especially those involved in the electricity, gas and renewables industries. He has advised on acquisition, disposal and development of new facilities and businesses (electricity, LNG and downstream gas), development of generation solutions using a variety of fuels (conventional, renewable and unconventional), development of energy storage systems, electricity connection agreements, electricity retail agreements and energy derivative transactions.

  • Gas and LNG | Acting on the development, operation or acquisition of major gas and LNG Projects including GLNG Project, QCLNG Project, Darling Downs Gas Pipeline, NQGP, Jemena gas networks and gas supply and transport arrangements for gas producers and suppliers including Shell Energy Australia, Arrow Energy, GLNG.
  • Wholesale and Retail Energy Transactions and Regulatory Advice | Acting on wholesale and retail transactions in all states in the National Electricity Market since its inception and advising on regulatory issues associated with these businesses, including for:
    • Wholesale/Retailers: Alinta, EnergyAustralia, Origin, Genuity, Shell Energy Australia, NRG Energy, CS Energy, Stanwell, Arrow Energy, Ek Energy, Energy Developments, Smartest Energy, Edify Energy, Radian Energy, Brighte Energy, Snowy Hydro, Enel Green Power, Enel X, Nectr and Lightsource bp.
