Perkins Coie Represents Sedron in Investment From Ara Partners of up to $500 Million
PORTLAND, OR (April 15, 2026)—Perkins Coie announced today that it represented Sedron Technologies, a leader in advanced upcycling systems that transform waste streams into reusable water and fertilizer products, in an investment of up to $500 million from Ara Partners, a global private equity and infrastructure firm focused on industrial decarbonization.
The multidisciplinary Perkins Coie advisory team was led by Partner Joe Bailey and included Partners Buck Endemann, Vijay Kumar, Drew Kuettel, Michael Herrera, Chris Williams, and Tomer Vandsburger, as well as Associates Annamarie Carty, April Foreman, Grace Hanna, and Jennifer Huseby.
Sedron developed Varcor® technology, a system that processes and separates liquid waste streams into valuable products using 10 times less energy than conventional alternatives. Varcor systems are designed to recover water and nutrients while reducing the volume of material requiring disposal. The investment from Ara will support the acceleration of Sedron’s project development pipeline and the expansion of its manufacturing and deployment capabilities across North America.
