Introduction

Sonia guides founders and startups through critical inflection points as they scale.

Sonia Rachael Marie Farber advises innovative companies in the software as a service, consumer tech, health tech, AI, and consumer packaged goods spaces through critical phases of their lifecycles, from formation and launch to key milestones and exit. She also works closely with founders and their companies on day-to-day business matters, including board and governance issues and co-founder separations.

Sonia maintains an active pro bono practice, with an emphasis on women’s and children’s rights. She has represented clients in asylum proceedings, special immigrant juvenile proceedings for children seeking to stay in the United States, and human rights cases. She is an active board member with Yamba Malawi, a nonprofit dedicated to reducing childhood poverty in Malawi, where more than half the population lives in poverty.

Sonia regularly speaks and writes on topics including venture law and women in the law. She is fluent in French and Spanish.

Prior to joining Ashurst Perkins Coie, Sonia co-founded a successful boutique law firm, specializing in startups and venture capital.
