Introduction

Jonathan represents clients in appeals, dispositive or critical motions, and patent litigation.

Jonathan Tietz represents clients before the Supreme Court of the United States, federal and state appellate courts, federal district courts, and the Patent Trial and Appeal Board. His work includes patent, commercial litigation, and international trade appeals, as well as district court matters such as Hatch-Waxman, patent, contract, and trade secret cases. His work in patent prosecution and counseling includes experience with high-tech, chemical, biotechnological, mechanical, and pharmaceutical issues. 

Jonathan also prepares amicus briefs and serves as issues and appeals counsel at trial. He has briefed and argued matters in both appellate and district courts. 

He maintains an active pro bono practice, assisting clients with appellate representation, veterans' benefits, and housing matters. 

Before joining Ashurst Perkins Coie, Jonathan clerked for the Hon. Sharon Prost of the U.S. Court of Appeals for the Federal Circuit.
