Introduction
Jeremy is valued for his strategic input into the management of complex disputes.
A senior project disputes lawyer, Jeremy has worked on some of the region's largest and most complex energy, resources and infrastructure developments, with a particular focus on the resolution of international commercial disputes by arbitration. He is a Fellow of the Australian Centre for International Commercial Arbitration (ACICA) and is the Vice-chair of its Professional Advisory Council. He is also on the DIAC and APIAC panel of arbitrators and is a Senior Fellow at the University of Melbourne Law School where he teaches as part of the postgraduate construction and energy law program.

- Wind farm project disputes | Acting for an EPC Contractor in a series of disputes concerning alleged systemic defects in the design, supply and installation of turbine components for a major Australian wind farm project.
- Conventional energy project disputes | Acting for an EPC contractor in a dispute and arbitration relating to alleged defects in the design and construction of a coal fired power plant unit for an Indonesian energy project.
- Infrastructure projects disputes | Acting for various entities in disputes, litigation and arbitration relating to aspects of the $20 billion WestConnex Project, the $15 billion Melbourne Metro Project and the $11 billion Western Sydney Airport Project.
- Gas pipeline disputes | Acting for a project owner in a multi-billion dollar arbitration relating to construction delays and defect claims on a gas transmission pipeline project.
- PPP project disputes | Acting for a PPP Project Consortium in a range of disputes and an arbitration, relating to defects arising from the engineering and construction of a multi-billion dollar PPP toll road project.
- Iron ore joint venture | Led a US$ 200 million claim and arbitration on behalf of an iron ore joint venture against a steel manufacturer, concerning pricing disputes under a Commodity Sales Agreement.
- Shipping disputes | Led a significant loss of opportunity damages case on behalf of an iron ore joint venture against a conglomerate of shipping interests relating to a ship vessel fire and damage to ship loading facilities at Port Hedland, Western Australia.
- Solar project disputes | Acting for an international renewables developer in a series of disputes and mediation relating to delays in the construction, commissioning and operation of three solar farm projects.
- Mining disputes | Acting for an EPC contractor in relation to delay and disruption claims, and liquidated damages claims, concerning the construction of a copper gold mine project in South Australia.
- Building disputes | Acting for an international construction company in litigation in the PNG National Court and a confidential arbitration relating to disputes concerning delays to the construction of multistorey development project in PNG.
