Jason is a trusted adviser to leading publicly traded companies on key corporate governance, capital markets, and transactional matters.

Jason Day serves on the Global Leadership Team at Ashurst Perkins Coie and is Co-Chair of the firm's global Corporate Division. He counsels public company boards of directors and management on SEC disclosure obligations, capital markets deals, corporate governance practices, fiduciary duties, internal investigations, proxy advisory firm standards, and stockholder activism matters. His clients range from businesses preparing for an initial public offering (IPO) to Fortune 500 corporations across a variety of industries, with experience in the life sciences, consumer products, energy, mining, technology, and food and beverage sectors.  

Over his 25-year career, Jason has represented issuers and underwriters in raising tens of billions of dollars in capital markets offerings, including underwritten equity and debt offerings, IPOs, Rule 144A offerings, and convertible note offerings. He also counsels companies and their boards of directors on the acquisition and sales of public companies and other transformative M&A transactions.
