James advises corporates, sponsors and investment banks on high-value public and private M&A, equity capital markets and corporate advisory matters.

James Fletcher is a partner in the corporate department in London and co-head of Corporate in EMEA. He advises corporates, sponsors and investment banks across a range of sectors, in particular the technology, retail, consumer & leisure, and energy sectors. He focuses on  complex domestic and cross-border public and private M&A, JVs, equity capital markets transactions and corporate advisory work.  He has particular expertise in advising public companies, including on bid defense, board matters, corporate governance and their listed company obligations.

His recent experience includes advising: Carnival Corporation and plc on the unification of their dual listed company structure and redomiciliation to Bermuda; Pango Group on its $1.7 billion merger with Total Security to form Point Wild; Wm Morrison Supermarkets PLC in relation to its £7 billion takeover by Clayton, Dubillier & Rice; Foresight on its £210 million takeover of Harmony Energy Income Trust plc; Oxford Instruments plc on the sale of its quantum business; and Bosch on its acquisition of FIVE AI.
