Introduction
Allison advises companies and boards of directors on critical corporate governance, securities law compliance, and capital markets transactions.
Allison Handy counsels companies on a broad range of issues faced by management and directors, including securities law disclosure obligations, environmental and social sustainability disclosures, stock exchange listing requirements, internal investigations, fiduciary duties, and shareholder activism matters. Her corporate clients include Alliant Energy, Lithia Motors, Microsoft, Nordstrom, Remitly, and Savers Value Village.
Allison is a contributing editor and author of the seventh edition of The Public Company Handbook: A Corporate Governance and Disclosure Guide for Directors and Executives. She is also a contributor to the treatise Corporate Governance: Law and Practice. She serves on the Board of Directors for the Society for Corporate Governance.
Allison is a frequent speaker and author on corporate governance and securities law topics, and she is founder of the firm's Public Chatter blog. She also leads the firm's sponsorship of the BoardReady Collective, a Seattle-based program dedicated to building board readiness for inclusive leaders.
