    Perkins Coie Advises Microsoft on Strategic Partnership with Anthropic and $5B Investment

    SEATTLE (November 20, 2025) - Perkins Coie is pleased to have advised Microsoft on a new strategic partnership with Anthropic that will provide Microsoft’s enterprise customers with broader access to Anthropic’s rapidly growing Claude AI model on Microsoft Azure. 

    As part of the new partnership, Microsoft has also committed to investing up to $5 billion in Anthropic. Microsoft, NVIDIA, and Anthropic have announced new strategic partnerships to broaden access to Claude and provide Azure enterprise customers with expanded model choice and new capabilities. NVIDIA will power Claude on Microsoft Azure and Anthropic has committed to purchasing $30 billion of Azure compute capacity and to contract additional compute capacity up to one gigawatt.
