He has particular depth in corporate governance and venture capital transactions, regularly serving as outside counsel to high-growth companies navigating complex capitalization and governance issues. 

Prior to joining Ashurst Perkins Coie, Val practiced at a boutique corporate law firm, where he provided transactional and advisory support to emerging companies and their stakeholders.
