Todd is a real estate partner in London and has significant experience in cross-border and complex development transactions.

Todd is a partner in Ashurst Perkins Coie's London Real Estate team with a broad range of experience in real estate and energy transition sectors, working with clients across the UK, the Middle East, Asia and Australia.

As a cross-border specialist, he has particular experience working with energy transition, build-to-rent (BTR), purpose-built student accommodation (PBSA) and logistics assets. 

Todd also has a strong track-record working with Generative AI, having used technology-driven solutions to deliver large portfolio transactions. His experience includes working with W&I insurers and rating agencies to support AI-powered due diligence exercises. In addition, Todd has worked closely with data engineers to develop custom AI workflows for both the real estate and other transactional departments at the firm. 

Todd's clients include institutional funds, private equity houses and listed developers.

  • InfraVia Capital Partners on its acquisition of a majority stake in both Mercia Power Response and Balance Power Projects Limited, merging the two companies together to form Supernova Power. The new business will be one of the major operators involved in developing, constructing and operating flexible gas peaking plants and battery storage assets across the UK.
  • Endurance Land, a member of the Nan Fung Group, on the letting of Jahn Court and Brassworks at Regent Quarter, King's Cross, London, to artificial intelligence company OpenAI.
  • An operational real estate business on a merger in excess of £3 billion. In addition to advising on the legal documentation, Todd worked with data engineers to develop custom prompts which enabled an AI-powered review of over 2,000 real estate documents in less than 2 weeks. 
  • A Middle Eastern investor on the strategic land acquisition for an energy from waste project. The site has an extremely complicated history and is located in a key renewable corridor in the UK. The project, once developed, will have an expected GDV of £3 billion.
  • Ongoing advice to a major international listed developer on their operational joint venture with a GDV in excess of £20 billion.
  • A Singaporean investor on the refinancing of their central London trophy office asset valued at over £500 million.
  • A Middle Eastern private equity house on the establishment of their logistics joint venture platform in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia.
  • A listed North American bank on the acquisition of one of their UK headquarters for £100 million.
  • An European institutional fund on the £50 million corporate sale of a PBSA asset in Bristol.
