Introduction

Tim Gummer is Practice Group Head of our Global Tax Team.

Tim combines deep experience in global real estate, energy and infrastructure taxation, and acts for a broad, global, client base including global pension funds, private equity investors, sovereign wealth funds, national oil companies. and alternative investment managers.

Professional Experience

Petrochemical Industries Company K.S.C | Partner | 2025 | Advised on its successful public auction process investment in Wanhua Yantai, a Chinese state-controlled globally operating chemical materials company.
A national oil company | 2024 | On its acquisition of Galp's 10% interest in the Area 4 concession of the Rovuma Basin in Mozambique, comprising the Coral South FLNG facilities and the proposed Coral North FLNG development and Rovuma LNG onshore facilities, for more than US$1 billion.
A national oil company | Partner | 2024 | Advised on its acquisition of Navig8, an international shipping pool operator and commercial ship management company, for over US$1.5 billion.
OMV Aktiengesellschaft, one of Austria's largest listed industrial companies | Partner | 2024 | Advised on the sale of its 50% stake in the issued share capital of SapuraOMV Upstream Sdn. Bhd. to TotalEnergiesfor $903 million.
