Introduction
Taryn is an associate in the Patent Litigation practice at Ashurst Perkins Coie.
Prior to joining Ashurst Perkins Coie, Taryn T. Willett served as a patent examiner at the U.S. Patent and Trademark Office, where she examined patents related to controller logic and circuitry in the fields of plastics molding and shaping, imprint lithography, three-dimensional printing, electronic cigarettes, and cannabis products. Taryn’s industry background includes roles as a process and equipment engineer at Samsung Austin Semiconductor’s fabrication plant in the ion doping and implantation department, and as a process management intern at Procter & Gamble Company’s fabric care production plant. She has also conducted academic research, including work on carbon nanotubes and microbiology laboratories.
Taryn earned her J.D. from the University of Texas School of Law, where she was involved in the Texas Intellectual Property Law Journal and the Women’s Law Caucus. She holds a B.S. in chemical engineering, with a minor in computational and applied mathematics, from Rice University.
