Stephen is a seasoned pro bono counsel with over a decade's experience building and managing pro bono programs, strategic projects, legal clinics, and community partnerships.

Stephen is a pro bono lawyer with over 10 years of experience developing and managing pro bono practices. Stephen develops and co-ordinates pro bono opportunities including strategic projects, referrals, secondments and legal clinics.
Stephen has been on the board of a number of community legal centers (CLCs) and the Australian Pro Bono Centre. Stephen has also completed a number of pro bono secondments with CLCs including the Victorian Aboriginal Legal Service and Justice Connect Homeless Law.
Prior to working in law firms, Stephen spent two years at the Supreme Court of Western Australia as a judge’s associate.
Stephen has been acknowledged for his leadership and commitment to the LGBT+ community in the 2020 OUTstanding 100 LGBT+ Future Leaders’ List.
Stephen is a qualified lawyer in Australia and holds a Bachelor of Laws/Science (First Class Law Honors) from The University of Western Australia. Stephen has also completed the “Governance Foundations for Not-for-Profit Directors” course from the Australian Institute of Company Directors and the Masters of Laws subject titled “Not-for-Profits, Law and the State” from The University of Melbourne.
