Introduction

Scott handles employment claims at all stages of the employment life cycle, from hiring to termination.

Scott Budow represents employers in arbitration, federal court, and state court proceedings involving labor and employment disputes. He has experience with claims under Title VII, the Americans with Disabilities Act, the Age Discrimination in Employment Act, the New York City Human Rights Law, the New York State Human Rights Law, the Family and Medical Leave Act, the New York Labor Law, and the Fair Labor Standards Act.

Scott also counsels companies on day-to-day workforce issues such as handbook compliance, hiring and termination decisions, reductions in force, noncompete agreements, internal investigations, and demand letter responses. 

Prior to joining the firm, Scott conducted internal investigations involving allegations of discrimination, retaliation, and workplace misconduct. In addition, he negotiated and drafted settlement agreements, participated in mediations, and prepared briefs and motions. Scott was also an adjunct professor of law at Fordham Law School, where he taught Legal Writing.
