Peter works with employers to navigate complex industrial relations and employment issues across a broad range of industries.

Peter McNulty advises clients in relation to all aspects of industrial relations, employment law and safety. 

He regularly advises on high-stakes industrial relations strategy, including enterprise bargaining, managing and mitigating the impacts of industrial action, the drafting and interpretation of industrial instruments, industrial disputes, transfers of business and managing workplace change.

Peter also advises on the full spectrum of individual employee matters, including executive employment issues, misconduct, performance management, redundancy, unfair dismissal claims, general protections disputes and discrimination complaints. He also regularly undertakes, oversees and advises on the investigation of alleged misconduct, including under whistleblowing and public interest disclosure schemes.  

Peter has deep experience in advising on Australia's evolving workplace laws, and the implications of the changing nature of work and the workplace. He works closely with boards, executives, HR leaders and in-house legal teams to deliver commercial and strategic advice which assists employers to meet their business objectives while effectively managing legal and industrial risk.

Peter regularly appears for clients in courts and tribunals across Australia, including in the Fair Work Commission, Federal Circuit Court and the Federal Court. 

He also provides training to clients on topics including enterprise bargaining, industrial relations, workplace investigations, whistleblowing, officers' duties and advocacy.
