Paula Goodwin

Paula Leibovitz Goodwin has extensive knowledge of California’s high income taxes, property tax rules, and community property structure, along with the federal estate and gift tax, which she takes into account when helping clients structure their estate plans. She emphasizes preventing conflict in the next generation and keeping families intact. Paula has provided personalized counsel and guidance to many clients for more than a decade, a reflection of her dedication to clients. 

Paula's estate planning practice includes preparing trusts, wills, power of attorneys, retirement and life insurance beneficiary forms, and federal gift tax returns. Her decedent administration practice includes postmortem trust administration, probates, and federal estate tax return preparation. Paula has also counseled high-profile clients on successful charitable and lifetime gift planning. 

Paula taught income tax of property transactions to accountants and lawyers for more than 15 years in the graduate program at Golden Gate University. She has served as president of the Estate Planning Council of Diablo Valley and the East Bay Estate Planning Council. She regularly speaks on estate planning and the estate and gift tax.
