Introduction

Paul advises private fund sponsors on fund formation and governance throughout the fundraising life cycle and represents institutional investors and family offices across alternative investment programs.

Paul J. Kim represents clients across a broad range of asset classes, including private equity, credit, real estate, venture capital, and growth equity. He counsels clients on all facets of their business, including internal economic and governance matters, restructurings, employee hires and departures, and regulatory compliance, as well as co-investment arrangements and alternative investment structures. In addition, Paul has assisted clients with GP-stakes transactions and seeding arrangements, such as minority investments, seed capital transactions, and strategic partnership arrangements. 

Paul also represents institutional investors, including corporate venture capital programs, funds of funds, and family offices. He advises clients on alternative investments across various asset classes, including private equity, venture capital, and real estate. 

Paul also counsels family offices on customized structuring matters, including the formation of investment vehicles, employee carry and co-investment arrangements, and governance frameworks tailored to multi-generational wealth management objectives. 

In his active pro bono practice, Paul has represented immigrant youth with their Special Immigration Juvenile Status filings.
