Introduction

Pamela is an associate in the Tax, Benefits, & Compensation practice at Ashurst Perkins Coie.

Pamela Rubio advises clients on a broad range of employee benefits matters arising under ERISA, the Internal Revenue Code, COBRA, the Health Insurance Portability and Accountability Act, and the Affordable Care Act. Pamela’s practice includes advising plan sponsors on plan drafting, administration, and compliance matters.  

Pamela also supports clients in connection with M&A and other corporate transactions by identifying and addressing employee benefits issues through due diligence and disclosure schedules.  

Pamela earned a J.D. from the University of Washington School of Law, participating in the University’s Entrepreneurial Law Clinic, which collaborated with local entrepreneurs to support them as they pursued innovative ventures. She also held leadership positions with First Generation Law Student Association, Student Bar Association, Latinx Student Association, and the Washington Journal of Social and Environmental Justice.  

Pamela’s developing pro bono practice focuses on providing support to clients who are applying for U-Visas and addressing legal issues related to the Violence Against Women’s Act.
