Introduction
Nicola has over 28 years' experience in the investment management industry and advises both sponsors and investors in relation to private institutional investment funds.
Nicola Hopkins' experience includes the structuring, establishment and management of real estate, infrastructure, private equity debt funds and their carried interest arrangements, along with joint venture arrangements.
Nicola acts for both sponsors and investors and has extensive experience of advising major investors on the investments into funds, co-investment vehicles and continuation funds, as well as LP-led secondaries.
- Large Saudi Conglomerate | On its US $400 million fund investment investing into Australian energy platform.
- Tritax | On numerous transactions including: the establishment of an acquisition and joint venture platform and associated carried interest scheme for its landmark data centre transaction; a GP-led secondary sale of a real estate fund; the establishment of its logistics fund and carry arrangements.
- Polus Capital Management & Parent Company Mediobanca | On a capital commitment for Polus's Special Situations strategy and a GP investment from a Sovereign Wealth Fund, with an aggregate value of $1 billion
- Vontobel | On its substantial minority GP-stake investment into Ancala Partners.
- Large Indian Conglomerate | On the first tranche of its cornerstone fund investment into a US business.
