Introduction

Nick is a very experienced energy partner focusing especially on energy-from-waste (EfW) and biomass projects.

He has advised on numerous waste infrastructure projects through to financial close, mainly in the UK (which has seen the most activity in the sector over the last decade). This includes leading on a number of the major project-financed PPP/PFI schemes, such as Greater Manchester (EfW), BDR (MBT), Derby City/Derbyshire (gasification) and Edinburgh/Midlothian (EfW). He has advised a number of schemes that are supported by merchant (ie private sector) waste feedstocks, such as Runcorn Phase 2 (EfW), Tilbury biomass (EfW), Port of Hull (gasification), Boston (gasification), Port of Barry (gasification), Kemsley CHP (EfW), Newark CHP (EfW), Leeming (anaerobic digestion), New Mill (anaerobic digestion), and Brocklesby (anaerobic digestion).
