Nick Pawson is a partner in the banking and international finance department of Ashurst Perkins Coie Spain and is a solicitor of England and Wales based in our Madrid office.

He advises on acquisition and leveraged finance, corporate lending, project finance and margin lending transactions and has worked on a large number of national and international transactions in a wide range of sectors.

Nick is qualified in England & Wales.

 

  • A multinational investment bank on the execution of an English law governed financing of up to €400,000,000 and associated finance documentation in respect of the financing of Port Aventura in Spain.
  • 6 international banks, on the provision of financing of up to €589,999,759 to Abu Dhabi Future Energy Company PJSC – Masdar for the acquisition from Endesa S.A. of a 49.99% state in a portfolio of solar PV assets with an operating installed capacity of c. 2GW.
  • 6 international banks, on the additional €115,000,000 financing, to an aggregate of €705,000,000, to Abu Dhabi Future Energy Company PJSC – Masdar in relation to the financing of the acquisition from EGPE Solar 2, S.L.U. of a 49.99% state in a portfolio of solar PV assets.
  • Verdalia Bioenergy and a global investment bank on the Landmark €671,000,000 financing for a large portfolio of biomethane projects located in Spain and Italy, one of the largest financing in the European biomethane sector to date, from a syndicate of 7 international banks.
  • Cain International Advisors Limited, on the execution of an English law governed financing of €73,900,000 for a €13,000,000 internal refinancing and the acquisition and development of a 585-bed purpose-built student accommodation in Madrid.
  • Avi Alliance, the Lenders on a £545,000,000 English law platform refinancing of existing senior debt in relation to AGS Airports' facilities in Glasgow, Aberdeen and Southampton.
  • A global bank on series of financings to Cross Ocean AGG II S.à.r.l, for the acquisition of certain real estate backed loan portfolios.
  • Agilitas Private Equity, on the financing of the acquisition of Integris (formerly Tencate Advance Armour), global leading manufacturer of lightweight survivability solutions.
  • Cheyne Capital, on the execution of an English law governed financing of up to €45,500,000 for the acquisition and development of two properties in Madrid and Barcelona.
  • Société Générale, BBVA and DWS, on the financing of the sale and leaseback of 27 of Mercadona's supermarket sites in Spain which was entered into between LCN Capital Partners and Mercadona.
