Introduction
Nicholas has in depth knowledge of the construction and operational matters relating to project financed infrastructure and power projects.
Nicholas Hilder advises sponsors, funders, and procuring authorities on the development of all types of power generation projects and nationally significant infrastructure projects. He has detailed knowledge of the key standard forms of building contract, O&M arrangements, ancillary documentation and procurement methodologies used to deliver these projects.
- Great British Energy – Nuclear on the Early Contractor Involvement based multi-contract procurement of Small Modular Nuclear Reactors.
- Department for Energy, Security and Net Zero (DESNZ) on the construction contracts for the realization of the Northern Endurance Partnership and Liverpool Bay pioneer CCUS transportation and storage infrastructure including drilling and pipeline upgrades.
- HS2 on the procurement of all rail systems (signaling etc.) contracts for the highspeed link between London and Birmingham including the alliancing arrangements for the management of interface risk.
- Heathrow Airport Limited in connection with the redevelopment of Terminal 4.
- Lenders in connection with the development and financing of the Moray East and Moray West offshore wind farms including all construction contracts.
- Connect Plus in connection with all aspects of its 30 year concession to upgrade, operate and maintain the M25 orbital motorway.
- Brockwell Energy in connection with the negotiation of the TSA and BOP contracts for the project financed North Kyle wind farm project.
