Nick guides clients through complex real estate transactions, focusing on minimizing risks and closing deals efficiently.
Nick Franzen counsels a variety of clients on the acquisition, financing, and disposition of real property. He drafts and negotiates leases, purchase and sale agreements, covenants, and easements; conducts due diligence; advises on title and survey issues and title insurance; and manages closings.
Nick handles a range of complex transactions, including sale-leasebacks, ground leases, option agreements, M&A transactions involving real estate, and high-volume portfolio transactions. He has significant experience representing homebuilders on financing, due diligence, and land acquisition.
Nick has successfully represented major clients, including multiple sellers in two large urban land assemblage transactions, a Fortune 500 company in its $1 billion acquisition of a logistics company and its real estate assets, a multinational corporation in connection with due diligence and site acquisition, and a housing developer in multiple multiphase site acquisitions.
Nick maintains an active pro bono practice focused on supporting nonprofits with their real estate needs and addressing food insecurity in local communities.
