Introduction
Navdeep is a banking and finance partner in the global loans Team. Based in London, she has spent time working in Hong Kong and New York.
Navdeep Benning focuses on Fund Finance. With over 20 years of experience, she is a recognized authority in her field and one of the most experienced practitioners in the industry. She has been advising on fund finance transactions since the inception of the market, helping shape many of the structures and practices that now define the industry.
With a particular focus on the growing areas of NAV, back-leverage, private debt and asset backed facilities, Navdeep focusses on putting in place bespoke financing solutions. Navdeep has a deep understanding of the fund finance market and has led a number of first-to-market fund financings, she is known for developing tailored facilities that anticipate market changes.
Working closely with our fund formation, tax, regulatory, securitization and capital markets teams, Navdeep ensures that our lender, borrower and fund clients receive the most comprehensive service available.
- Acting a group of European investment banks in their capacity as senior noteholders in a structure involving the securitisation of a portfolio of capital call (investor-backed) loans.
- Acting for UK insurance companies on NAV facilities backed by a portfolio of collateralised fund obligations (CFOs), advanced in note form.
- Acting for a European Investment bank on NAV MTM facilities backed by a portfolio of loans, combing technology form the loans, derivatives and prime brokerage markets.
- Acting for a syndicate of lenders on the refinancing of NAV facilities to a FTSE 250 company, involving the issuance of private placement notes.
- Acting for a global investment manager on NAV facilities to its flagship private equity, private debt and infrastructure funds.
- Acting for a global investment manager on umbrella bridge facilities to its executives.
- Acting for a global investment manager on SMA facilities involving the world's largest sovereign wealth fund.
