Natasha Kavanagh is a finance partner with a broad range of experience in the finance and projects sectors. 

She has experience in cross-border Islamic finance, structured finance, corporate finance, asset finance and bonds, with a major focus on project finance. 

Natasha has advised procurers, sponsors and lenders on the structuring and financing of complex projects focusing in particular on the energy and infrastructure sectors.

Acting for:

  • A national oil company and national energy company in relation to the first-of-its-kind procurement, development, financing and transfer of two independent sub-sea high voltage direct current systems, comprising of cables and onshore and offshore converter stations on a build-own-operate-transfer basis;
  • Various Lender syndicates on multiple commercial facilities (the largest being US$11 billion) to a national oil company with respect to various petrochemicals projects;
  • A national water and electricity company on the procurement and financing of three separate greenfield solar photovoltaic power plants each with a maximum power export of 1,500 MW (AC) together with the ancillary equipment, associated infrastructure and facilities related thereto;
  • A national oil company and investment company on the equity and upfront financing arrangements for a series of five greenfield petrochemicals projects and two supporting infrastructure/utility projects;
  • A national water and electricity company and a national waste management company in relation to the structuring, financing and procurement of the largest national waste-to-energy facility;
  • A Sponsor consortium in relation to a first-of-its-kind project financing of a schools PPP infrastructure project;
  • A Sponsor consortium on the development and financing of a wastewater treatment plant and associated infrastructure for a national utilities project;
  • Ittihad International Investment LLC on a sharia compliant sukuk issuance by a first time corporate issuer of 9.75% 5 year / nc 2 Trust Certificates;
  • A national logistics company on the issuance of up to US$2 billion of perpetual capital securities backed by a commercial loan;
  • A national drilling company on its US$2 billion refinancing of its term and revolving credit facilities.
