Molly Foster

Practice Attorney

Seattle

Introduction

Molly assists trial teams with high-volume reviews, productions, and deposition and trial preparation in multidistrict and other complex litigation.

A NewLaw practice attorney with more than a decade of experience, Molly L. Foster supports matters involving product liability, antitrust, consumer protection, patent and trademark infringement, environmental litigation, breach of contract disputes, and internal corporate investigations. She is also known for pairing careful factual analysis with a practical, collaborative working style.

Molly has assisted with deposition preparation for hundreds of witnesses, including developing chronologies and witness outlines, analyzing electronic communications, selecting exhibits, and identifying key factual issues. She has substantial experience across all stages of eDiscovery, including technology-assisted review, targeted search design, quality control, and privilege log preparation. Molly uses advanced review platforms and emerging technologies to streamline document reviews, improve workflows, reduce costs, and support litigation strategy.

Molly also works with clients in the gaming, technology, and retail industries on trademark violations and other brand protection, reputational, and IP enforcement priorities. She has been seconded to a multinational technology company, where she assisted an in-house legal team with legal project management.

Molly is active in the firm’s pro bono work. She supported discovery for several years in a class-action lawsuit that resulted in a district court ruling that a government program was “arbitrary and capricious” and violated the Administrative Procedure Act. In the same matter, the court addressed a discovery dispute involving documents the government claimed were protected by law enforcement and deliberative process privileges and ordered certain documents released.

Before joining Ashurst Perkins Coie, Molly advised community associations on nonprofit corporate governance, the interpretation and amendment of governing documents, community rules enforcement, and property damage liability.
