Overview
Introduction
Mikael is a member of the firm’s Political Law practice.
Mikael Floyd counsels elected officials, candidates, political action committees, corporations, nonprofits, and other entities on compliance with federal, state, and local campaign finance, lobbying, and ethics laws. He also advises clients on the Foreign Agents Registration Act (FARA) and other matters involving foreign influence.
Mikael represents clients before the Federal Election Commission, the U.S. House Committee on Ethics, the Office of Congressional Conduct, and the U.S. Department of Justice's FARA Unit. He helps clients navigate the complex regulatory landscape surrounding political activity, government interactions, and public policy engagement.[show-more]
Prior to joining the firm, Mikael served as treasurer of the Texas Democratic Party and was an elected member of his hometown school board. While in law school, he was selected for the firm’s Political Law Fellowship and served as a law clerk for two years.
