Mike assists clients with complex disputes and investigations.
Mike Wadden is a former prosecutor with the DOJ, Consumer Protection Branch, and a former enforcement attorney with the Consumer Financial Protection Bureau (CFPB). Mike has experience representing clients in a broad range of investigations and litigations involving contract disputes, trade secret misappropriation, fraud, and violations of consumer protection statutes.
Mike handles disputes throughout the entire litigation process, including developing case strategy, drafting and arguing dispositive motions, handling document discovery and depositions, and representing clients at trial and on appeal.
During his time with DOJ and CFPB, Mike pursued significant civil cases involving consumer fraud, privacy violations, drug distribution, and consumer finance. Mike also conducted criminal investigations and prosecutions and represented the government in defensive litigation. Notable matters include securing a $275 million penalty against a leading gaming company, winning a $9.9 million penalty in a landmark caller ID spoofing case, and co-leading DOJ’s enforcement action against a major national prescription drug distributor.
