Matt focuses on structuring, negotiating, and documenting business transactions, including venture capital investments, M&As, and strategic partnerships.

Matthew Klomparens advises startup companies in life sciences, technology, and consumer products and industry sectors regarding corporate governance, IP strategy, seed fundraising, and other organizational matters. 

Matt regularly serves as outside counsel for small- to mid-market companies in connection with debt and equity financing, commercial contracts, executive compensation, regulatory compliance and routine corporate labor, and employment matters. 

In his pro bono practice, Matt frequently works with Lawyers for the Creative Arts to help underserved Chicagoans form businesses and assist nonprofit organizations in negotiating IP licensing agreements and managing regulatory compliance issues.
