Introduction
With a background in private equity, Mark brings an intrinsic business sense to his practice, advising clients on a wide range of in- and out-of-court restructurings, bankruptcies and insolvency proceedings.
Mark Dendinger is a partner in our global loans practice based in New York.
Mark represents debtors, creditors, asset purchasers, distressed investors (including hedge funds, private credit funds, and private equity funds), independent board members, plan administrators and liquidating trustees in bankruptcies, out-of-court workouts, financings, litigation, section 363 sales and other restructuring transactions. Mark is recognized for his work in the restructuring field by industry publications including IFLR1000 United States, Legal 500 United States and Lawdragon.
Mark is admitted to the New York and Connecticut State Bars.

- Rockland Capital, L.P. | Lead Partner | 2022 | Advised private equity firm as the stalking horse bidder in the 363-bankruptcy sale process for the Ector County Energy Center, a 330 MW natural gas-fired simple cycle power plant in Ector County, Texas, which resulted in Rockland prevailing as the successful bidder for an agreed purchase price for the facility of approximately $145 million.*
- Eni Petroleum | Lead Partner | 2021 | Advised affiliate of oil and gas supermajor Eni SpA in resolution of potential legacy decommissioning liabilities of up to $110 million because of Fieldwood’s proposed abandonment of certain assets in its Chapter 11 bankruptcy proceeding, which resulted in securing a settlement including a lump sum payment and a cap on Eni’s potential decommissioning liability.*
- Major International Bank, N.A. | Lead Partner | 2021 | Advised pre-petition administrative agent and senior secured lenders on the Chapter 11 case and reorganization of Diamond Offshore Drilling, Inc. and certain affiliates, which led to the successful reorganization of the company and Wells Fargo providing exit financing of approximately $400 million in a revolving credit facility and $100 million in a term loan.*
