Marissa is an associate in the Technology Transactions & Privacy practice at Ashurst Perkins Coie.
Marissa Shirdez has experience structuring and negotiating agreements involving strategic alliances, collaborations, patent licenses, service delivery arrangements, clinical trials, sponsored research, and various supply chain relationships. She has advised startups and Fortune 500 companies across a range of technologies, including cybersecurity, satellite imagery, emerging nuclear power technology, custom silicon and semiconductors, data center equipment, biologics, pharmaceuticals, and medical devices.
Within the cybersecurity domain, she has advised on consumer and enterprise identity and network access products, helping address risks specific to cryptography, encryption, and private key infrastructure industry standards.
Marissa is also dedicated to pro bono work, particularly in asylum law.
While attending Duke University School of Law, Marissa served as a member of the First-Generation Professionals Group, the Latin American Law Student Association, and the Duke Law and Technology Review.
