Marcus advises clients on IP management, technology transactions, and compliance, particularly in telecommunications, software, aerospace, and industrial innovation sectors.

Marcus Woo's experience includes more than a decade of in-house legal roles, most recently as vice president and general counsel for a multinational, publicly traded company based in Taiwan. In this role, he oversaw the company's litigation and licensing, patent prosecution and management, and M&As. He also managed its legal affairs in Europe, the Americas, and Chinese subsidiaries.  

Before serving as general counsel, Marcus spent more than 20 years in private practice in New York, Taipei, and Beijing, advising on IP protection and management, technology licensing and transactions, corporate matters, M&As, and disputes. He also assisted clients with legal and regulatory compliance issues involving antitrust, the Foreign Corrupt Practices Act, and government procurement. In-house and in private practice, his work focused on technology, including telecommunications, information technology, electronics, and software, as well as aerospace, railroad equipment, and industrial and consumer products.
