Introduction
Kitty is an experienced real estate partner who advises landowners, occupiers and investors in both the private and public sectors on complex real estate transactions.
Kitty Vo advises landowners, occupiers and investors across the private and public sectors on the full life cycle of real estate assets, including acquisitions and disposals, leases, licenses and access arrangements involving commercial, industrial, retail and residential assets.
She supports clients on complex transactions and strategically important operational property matters, including advising developers in the energy transition sector on the real estate aspects of renewable energy projects involving land acquisitions, title and tenure due diligence and project documentation. Kitty also provides strategic real estate support on M&A transactions, leading due diligence on portfolios and property assets, and advises financiers on bankability due diligence for real estate finance transactions.
- A major global real estate investor | Acted on the large-scale property due diligence for the client's A$3.35 billion acquisition of 100% of the units in a listed office fund. Subsequently acted for the company on its divestment of commercial office buildings in NSW, QLD, WA and ACT.
- PAG Asia Capital (HK) Limited | lead the real estate aspects of the company's acquisition of KKR's controlling interest in Australian Venue Co. Holdings Limited, involving in excess of 100 premises across Australia.
- Energy Transition | Acting for global renewable energy companies on land tenure arrangements for the development of battery energy storage system (BESS) projects, including a super battery in New South Wales with continuous active power capacity of at least 700 MW and useable energy storage capacity of at least 1,400 MWh, and a 415 MW BESS providing four hours (or 1,660 MWh), of energy storage.
- A global infrastructure investment firm | Acted on the real estate aspects of the firm's acquisition of a leading regional waste management operator in New South Wales.
- Australian Public Transport Project | Acted for the state government regarding the acquisition of leasehold interests as part of an Australia public transport project.
- REITs | Acting for a listed real estate investment trust on its property portfolio across all Australian jurisdictions.
- Global retailers and FMCG | Acting in respect of strategic occupancy arrangements for global retailers and FMCG brands across all Australian jurisdictions, including complex leasing arrangements for flagship stores.
