Introduction
Katia delivers versatile banking advice across asset finance, fund finance, real estate finance, and capital markets, fluent in four languages.
Katia Fettes is a partner in our banking practice. Katia advises on all types of banking matters, with a particular focus on asset finance, real estate finance, and fund finance mandates. Katia also advises on capital markets transactions, including bond issues and securitization transactions.
Katia has significant experience advising private banking and other clients on regulatory issues. Prior to joining Ashurst Perkins Coie, Katia worked for a magic circle law firm in Luxembourg. Katia was admitted to the Luxembourg Bar in 2014 and speaks English, French, German, and Luxembourgish.
Katia has been recognized in Financial News' Rising Star of European Finance 2026. This recognition reflects her expertise in complex financing transactions, her strong client relationships, and her leadership in growing our Luxembourg finance practice.
- An international financial services company on numerous subscription finance facilities, GP co-invest facilities, NAV facilities and hybrid facilities, including a bespoke public-to-private acquisition using subscription finance (totaling well over GBP 1 billion).
- Prime Capital AG on a €34 million senior secured loan to CREAHAUS for a premium energy-passive residential newly build asset in Luxembourg City.
- A global real estate investor, developer and manager on the refinancing of senior facilities in connection with a Super Fund acquisition of a 50% stake in its €840 million European industrial and logistics portfolio across 76 assets in six countries.
- A leading international investment bank on fund finance mandates across subscription finance, NAV lending, secondaries NAV financing and true hybrid facilities combining NAV and subscription finance (several billion pounds).
- A major international investment bank on a €260 million NAV-based loan for feeder vehicles into a multi-manager private debt investment platform, involving a complex cross-jurisdictional structure with Irish borrowers and security over Cayman and Luxembourg fund entities.
- Hayfin Capital Management LLP and a global financial services firm on the £280 million refinancing of the Zedra group's facilities, involving regulatory analysis across 15 jurisdictions and advice on recent Luxembourg insolvency law reforms.
- A syndicate of banks on the amendment and extension of facilities exceeding €1 billion for a leading European debt fund, incorporating a multi-jurisdictional cascading structure (€1,033,970,720).
- A global asset manager on the restructuring of a €1 billion facility secured over a portfolio of German residential properties, involving the tranching of the original facility into three separate pools of assets with senior and mezzanine loans.
- FINN on its second asset-backed securitization program of up to EUR 1 billion to expand its car subscription fleet and accelerate growth in Germany and across Europe.
- A financial services group on the establishment of and first issuance off a new repackaging program to repack insurance-covered lending to emerging markets sovereigns.
