Introduction
Karsten practices primarily in banking and finance, focusing on domestic and cross-border restructurings.
Dr Karsten Raupach heads our German restructuring and special situations practice. He advises on all aspects of distressed situations in and outside insolvency proceedings, with a focus on financial restructurings. Karsten has broad experience (across various industry sectors) in out-of-court and in-court restructurings relating to loans, bonds and other instruments, including insolvency proceedings, insolvency plan proceedings, reorganization proceedings (StaRUG), and cross-border restructurings, including financial restructurings by way of UK reorganization proceedings, schemes of arrangement and multi-jurisdictional insolvency proceedings under the European insolvency regulation.
Karsten regularly publishes on insolvency law issues.
Prior to joining our firm, he worked in the finance and restructuring departments of other international law firms in Frankfurt and Munich.
