Jun Hyuk Hong

Jun Hyuk (Zach) Hong helps clients develop IP strategies and patent portfolios, conduct and defend IP due diligence, and perform patent landscape searches and freedom to-operate analyses. His experience also includes drafting and prosecuting trademark applications, conducting trademark searches, and preparing search opinions. He drafts and negotiates IP-related agreements, including those involving licensing, provisions in M&As, joint development agreements, and IP transfer agreements. His clients operate in industries including medical devices, software, digital health, entertainment, fashion, food and beverage, biotechnology, chemical engineering, and sporting goods. 

Zach's practice is strengthened by his experience as general counsel and chief compliance officer of a venture-backed, growth-stage digital health and medical device company. In this role, he helped develop the company's strategic direction and operational decision-making and assisted with managing enterprise risk. He also advised the executive team and board of directors on legal matters.
