Introduction

Jonathan is an experienced financial services regulatory partner in our risk practice, who advises organizations across both transformational transactions and the broader regulatory compliance lifecycle.

Jonathan supports clients through pre-deal regulatory due diligence, transaction execution, post-deal integration and separation activities, as well as the design, implementation and governance of enterprise-wide regulatory compliance frameworks.

With extensive experience in navigating complex areas of financial services regulation, Jonathan advises clients on regulatory and deal risk arising in corporate transactions, strategic separation programs and day-to-day operations. Jonathan has particular regulatory experience in scam, fraud and payments regulation. 

Prior to joining Ashurst Perkins Coie's Risk Advisory team, Jonathan spent 21 years in a Big 4 professional services firm, including 10 years as an Australian Financial Services Partner. In this time, Jonathan led practices focused on payments, regulatory remediation and scams and fraud.

Jonathan is recognized for helping clients to solve problems through a practical combination of regulatory, operational, and technology expertise. Jonathan works collaboratively with Ashurst Perkins Coie's Australian and global teams across financial crime, identity, fraud, payments, privacy and cyber to help clients meet their regulatory obligations, execute strategic change and protect their customers from harm.
