John Knox

John Knox is a leader in Risk Advisory's Legal Department Transformation Consulting, APAC.

John has over 25 years of experience in legal department strategy, transformation, technology and the changing nature of legal services delivery. He is a trusted advisor to CEOs, CFOs and GCs and has advised some of the largest companies in the world on their legal department transformation initiatives, including around talent strategies, process improvement, technology, data and reporting and co-sourcing/outsourcing.

John is well versed in working with clients to test, refine and improve the way they deliver legal services with a focus on major projects, high volume routine tasks and technology. He advises clients on how to better manage and deliver legal services across a wide range of areas including contract lifecycle management, large scale technology assisted contract review and remediation exercises, entity compliance & governance, legal research and regulatory compliance.

Prior to joining Ashurst Perkins Coie, John was a Partner at one of the 'Big 4' where he was the APAC Law Leader and Global Legal Operations Leader. He helped build and manage their Legal Operations Delivery Centre that housed over 800 lawyers across Asia, Europe and the Americas, providing a wide range of technology enabled managed services to clients. For 11 years of his career, he also co-founded and built a well-known alternative legal services provider that grew to 9 offices around the world and over 1,000 staff, delivering innovative services to multinationals and financial institutions across various industries.
