Introduction

John has more than 30 years of technology experience focusing on digital forensics, including investigations, electronic data collection, and cybersecurity.

John H. Evans is a digital forensics consultant in the firm's NewLaw practice. 

John has extensive knowledge of the inner workings of computer hardware, operating systems, file systems, software, and cyber technologies. He has experience with the identification, preservation, collection, processing, and analysis of computer-related evidence, as well as the design, administration, and support of information systems. John has led more than 300 investigations involving digital evidence in matters concerning trade secrets, IP, fraud, employment, and computer misuse. He has also overseen thousands of data collection projects from a wide range of sources. 

John provides training on digital forensics to attorneys for continuing legal education credit and is a frequent speaker and author. He has served as a court-appointed neutral expert and as an expert witness, and he has testified on numerous occasions in state and federal courts.
