Jessica represents businesses nationwide in high-stakes commercial disputes and product liability actions, both at the claim and litigation stages.
Jessica Vander Velde's litigation practice includes a wide range of commercial and product disputes, including claims in tort and breach of contract, consumer protection violations, IP, and trust and probate litigation .
As a former journalist, Jessica has extensive experience with sophisticated research, succinct writing, and handling witnesses. Her recent successes include successfully defending highly litigated corporate representative depositions, paving the way for a favorable settlement, and drafting and arguing winning motions to dismiss and for summary judgment.
Jessica maintains an active pro bono practice. She has helped an Afghan woman apply for affirmative asylum, advised a local nonprofit serving children, helped a veteran obtain humanitarian parole, and represented a low-income veteran facing a dispute with his landlord.
