Jean Woo is the managing partner of our Singapore office. She specializes in banking and finance, with a particular emphasis on structured financing across a broad range of disciplines, including fund finance, leveraged and acquisition finance, securitization, real estate finance, and structured trade and commodity finance.
Jean is widely regarded for her expertise in structuring bespoke capital solutions. She regularly advises banks and financial institutions on credit risk transfer and significant risk transactions. Jean has led on various market first asset-backed lending and warehouse financing transactions across multiple Asian jurisdictions.
A recognized thought leader, Jean regularly publishes articles on topics within her areas of expertise.

- Asia focused asset management firm | Jean Woo | 2025 | Advised on inaugural US$200m NAV financing extended to a private equity fund and secured by holdings in various companies across US and Asia.
- Large banking institution | Jean Woo | 2021 | Advised on US$150m multicurrency subscription secured credit facility for a Singapore based private credit fund in the infrastructure sector.
- Large regional fund manager | Jean Woo | 2025 | Advised on HoldCo dividend recap financing secured by holdings in various companies across Asia.
- MUFG | Jean Woo | 2026 | Advised on landmark SGD 550 million structured regulatory capital financing for Singlife. This is one of the largest transactions in Singapore’s insurance sector and a market first.
- Citibank | Jean Woo | 2023 | Acted for Citibank as senior noteholder to establish a US$100m securitization facility backed by SME loan receivables originated by one of Southeast Asia's largest SME lending platform – Validus.
- Victory Park Capital | 2020 – 2022 | Advised in relation to the US$100m asset backed warehouse financing structure to an Indonesian based consumer lending platform to Kredivo the leading digital credit platform in Indonesia.
- Community Investment Management | 2023 | Represented the senior financier to Amartha in establishing the first women focused social securitization in East Asia which comply with Social Loan Principles.
