Jared guides clients through public regulatory proceedings and helps bring their energy projects to life.

Jared Padway advises regulated utility clients through the development and permitting process for generation and transmission projects. His litigation experience spans state and federal district and appellate courts, with a focus on administrative appeals. He has successfully assisted a utility client seeking approval to construct, own, and operate more than 1,000 megawatts of new solar generation projects across Wisconsin.  

Jared also assists clients with power and renewable energy development matters. He provides commercial counseling on energy, storage, and renewable natural gas projects, in addition to advising clients on offtake agreements, including power purchase and environmental credit agreements. 

Jared has counseled clients on complex regulatory issues, including compliance with the Clean Air Act, the Clean Water Act, the Public Utility Regulatory Policies Act, and other major energy and environmental statutes. He has also helped businesses identify and structure commercial solutions to environmental, health, and safety risks arising from corporate M&A, financings, and real estate investments.
