Jamie Ng is Ashurst Perkins Coie’s Global Clients & Markets Partner. For over two decades, he has led firmwide growth and client-centered innovation, serving a range of clients.

Jamie focuses on aligning our business with client priorities and market shifts, helping deliver high-value solutions and reinforcing Ashurst Perkins Coie’s reputation as a forward-thinking adviser. Jamie also pioneered a legal-led consulting model that bridges traditional legal services with dynamic risk consulting, delivering holistic, risk-informed strategies for clients.

  • MUFG | 2025 | Lead structuring partner on an A$200 million capital enhancement financing trade for a global reinsurer. 
  • ASX listed corporation | 2025 | Lead partner on the equity derivatives trades supporting the successful merger, by way of scheme of arrangement, of two ASX listed corporations. 
  • Global investment bank | 2026 | Lead partner advising on the regulatory and documentation aspects of its repo and securities lending products. 
  • Singaporean bank | 2025 | Advised on the A$270 million financing of an office tower acquisition by a Singaporean REIT.
  • Newcastle Coal Infrastructure Group (NCIG) | 2007 – current | Advising in relation to financing arrangements connected with the expansion of its coal export terminal by way of various funding sources including bank debt and international capital markets funding and subsequently providing ongoing financing advice as NCIG transitions from a project vehicle to a steady state operation. 
  • QBE Insurance Group Limited (QBE) | 2018 | Advised on its investment in the World Bank's issuance of Notes via a blockchain Distributed Ledger Technology (DLT) platform operated by CBA. (2019 Australasian Law Awards: Debt Market Deal of the Year). 
  • Resolution Life | 2019 | Advised in connection with the financing of its A$3.4 billion acquisition of the AMP Life business.
  • A major Australian insurer | 2019 | Advised on a first to market transaction involving the securitization of reinsurance recoverables, referencing worldwide insured risks and global business operations.
  • A multinational investment bank | 2019 ongoing | Advised in respect of multiple strategic equity derivatives with counterparties from Australia, Asia and Europe, referencing total notional in excess of A$800 million.
