Introduction
Isabelle is a dual-qualified environmental lawyer advising on regulatory compliance, enforcement, and cross-border transactions, with experience spanning England, France, and Australia.
Isabelle Laborde is a counsel in our planning and environment practice.
Isabelle advises clients from the public and private sector on a wide range of contentious and non-contentious environmental matters. Her practice includes advising on regulatory compliance, regulatory investigations and enforcement action, including civil and criminal sanctions.
She is qualified both in England and Wales and France where she clerked for the chairman of the European Law division of the French Conseil d'État (French Supreme Administrative Court).
She has recently returned from a two-year secondment to our Sydney planning, access and environment practice.
Isabelle's distinctive and diverse background has allowed her to provide clients with an international perspective on transactions. She regularly works with colleagues across our offices on real estate investments and developments, corporate transactions and project matters. Isabelle is a member of the UK Environmental Law Association. She is recognized as 'leading partner' in Legal 500.

- Westpac Banking Corporation | Advised on the AUD$140 million financing to Enel Green Power Australia for the Quorn Park Hybrid Project.
- Eku Energy | Advised on the development and financing of the 250MW / 500MWh Williamsdale BESS in the Australian Capital Territory.
- Akaysha Energy | Advised on the project development of the 415MW / 1,660 MWh Orana BESS in Wellington, NSW, the largest four-hour BESS in the National Electricity Market.
- British Land | Advised on the acquisition a block of strategic land at South Trumpington near Cambridge.
- Almacantar | Advised on a £385 million refinancing of loans secured on One and Tow Southbank Place, London.
- Intermediate Capital Group (ICG) | Advised on the acquisition and financing of assets for ongoing use or redevelopment.
