Gabrielle Forbes

Gabrielle Forbes is managing partner of our Brisbane office and a partner in our dispute resolution practice. She focuses on insurance litigation, advising clients in relation to enforcement of insurance and indemnity coverage, multi-party litigation, contract disputes, actions based in tort and under Australian Consumer Law, product liability, regulatory, disciplinary and professional indemnity disputes. Gabrielle has experience in the energy and resources, retail and hospitality and government sectors in Australia.

Gabrielle currently acts for a wide variety of insured and self-insured corporations, providing advice on risk management, liability exposure, contractual recovery and indemnity as well as defending clients in claims brought before the Australian courts.

Gabrielle has significant experience in both the Federal and Queensland Courts and has represented clients in the High Court of Australia and before the Queensland Civil and Administrative Tribunal and the Queensland Industrial Relations Commission. She is also actively involved and has experience in dispute resolution processes including mediation, case appraisal, conciliation and arbitration and represents clients in inquests and regulatory investigations.
