Introduction
Devin guides clients through all aspects of commercial real estate law, with a particular emphasis on the Pacific Northwest.
Devin McComb focuses on the acquisition, disposition, financing, leasing, and development of commercial, industrial, and agricultural properties. He works with clients, including national and regional building owners, healthcare companies, and investors and developers, in all varieties of commercial, residential, and agricultural transactions. The industries Devin works in vary from affordable housing developers in and around the Pacific Northwest to purchasers of healthcare facilities and medical office buildings throughout the country.
Devin has built a leasing practice representing both landlords and tenants on transactions ranging from hotel development ground leases to single tenant retail or office leases. He drafts and negotiates the full range of lease documents, with an emphasis on getting transactions completed efficiently and on time. Experienced in structuring complex agribusiness deals, Devin has represented institutional lenders in agribusiness and agricultural loans secured by a variety of assets, including dairies, creameries, water rights, grazing leases, farms, and ranches.
Additionally, Devin has experience within the retail real estate sector, and he has represented retailers in several bankruptcy acquisitions and regional mall purchases, sales, retail leasing, and financings. Devin also works with breweries, distilleries, and cideries, handling an array of real estate matters as well as related supply and other commercial agreements.
Skilled at keeping complex deals on track, Devin has coordinated the legal team on behalf of a municipal port district in a 65-acre mixed-use development that will include apartments and other housing, a hotel, offices, retail spaces, restaurants, and marine sales and service businesses over the course of several years. Devin has also led teams and created unique approaches for pension fund management groups and investors to maximize their processes for acquiring and leasing office and retail spaces. As part of his practice, he provides real estate due diligence counsel in the context of major M&As and other business transactions.
Devin currently serves as a mayoral appointee to the governing council of the Pike Place Market Preservation and Development Authority.
